How long has it been since your last dive? If you have been out of the water for over two years, you must complete a refresher course before you can join us for Grand Cayman diving with Sunset Divers. This covers everything from dives off our boats to dives from our shore location.
When it comes to refreshing your scuba skills, you have a couple of options to choose from:
At Sunset House and Sunset Divers, we want you to feel safe and confident while diving with us. We therefore offer three different options for refreshing your diving skills.
The Standard Refresher Course includes an academic review and SCUBA skill circuit in the pool, followed by a shallow guided dive on our house reef. This is ideal for divers who have been out of the water for two to five years.
The ReActivate Half Day Course is as above, but divers complete the PADI ReActivate course online before joining one of our instructors here in Grand Cayman. This option is suitable for divers that have been out of the water for five to seven years.
And finally, there’s the ReActivate Full Day Course. If it has been a while since your last dive, you can complete the ReActivate course online before joining one of our experienced instructors for a full day of skills and diving. This option is for divers who have been out of the water for seven or more years.
These courses are mandatory before diving from the shore or on our boats.
If it’s been 10+ years since your last dive, it might be best to take the time and get re-certified by taking the PADI Open Water Course again.
All applicants must fill out our Diver Medical Participant Questionnaire before booking. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any pre-booking questions.
All courses are offered in conjunction with the ECO Divers Reef Foundation.
Refresher courses are available most days. Your dive will be on our beautiful house reef, right in front of the Resort.
