Very Helpful Tips For Students & Divers
For certified divers there are some important things you need to remember: If you haven’t dived for more than 2 years, you’ll be asked to complete a Refresher Course which consists of a pool session and a dive. This is normal on-island procedure and not only helps you reacclimatize to the water, it insures our continued excellent safety record. Once you have completed this, you’ll be able to go on any of our trips. There is a nominal fee for this. Another option would to complete a refresher at your local dive store prior to arrival and get your log booked stamped while doing so. The only other important issue is the easiest and most overlooked. Don’t forget to bring your C-Card! Check before you leave that you have it. You will be amazed how many people neglect to bring this all important item on a dive vacation. If you don’t have a card for any reason, contact your instructor or local dive store to obtain verification. We have a number of options available to check, but if we can’t find it you can't dive! Bring it with you! ALL STUDENTS. Medicals will be required for any YES’s answered on the medical form and we are unable to certify/teach anyone who has ever suffered from asthma. Attention SSI/NAUI/TDI/SDI students-Universal Referral Forms must be completed by your initial instructor and bought with you. All students completing referral dives-Make sure you bring your paperwork. If the paperwork is incorrect, we would be unable to proceed with your training. So its well worth making sure everything is in order prior to departure. Lastly, we want you to have the most enjoyable dive vacation ever! Make sure you are fit and healthy to dive and its always worth getting a quick medical check from the doctor if you have any doubts or concerns.
